Downeast portrays the small village of Prospect Harbor, Maine - home to the last sardine cannery in the U.S. before it closed in 2010. A few months later, entrepreneur Antonio Bussone bought the plant, with plans to build and operate one of the first lobster factories in the U.S. and bring jobs back to Prospect Harbor.
